Jewish Care reception celebrates Judith Hassan's OBE

A reception held at the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue paid tribute to Judith Hassan, Jewish Care’s director of services for holocaust survivors and refugees and founder of the Holocaust Survivors’ Centre, who was awarded the OBE in the New Year’s Honours List. The event, which was organised by Jewish Care, took place on Tuesday 8th April at the synagogue in Lauderdale Road, Maida Vale.
Judith received lavish praise from Jewish Care’s president Lord Levy, who noted her “outstanding achievements” on behalf of the survivors. There were also tributes from HSC members Alec Ward and Freddie Knoller, and from Rabbi Dr Abraham Levy, who has known Judith and her family for many years.
