Launch of Local Angels will raise funds for Jewish Care in Redbridge

A new committee called Local Angels raised over £1000 for Jewish Care’s Redbridge Community Centre at a coffee morning held in the Loughton home of committee member Michelle Lucas. The committee will host a range of events including a ladies’ luncheon and a book club, which meets every six to eight weeks.

Committee chairman Gayle Klein and Redbridge JCC fundraising executive Duggi Zarum-Glick welcomed almost 100 women to the inaugural event. “I’m very happy with the turnout,” said Mrs Klein, adding: “It is brilliant that so many people are interested in raising money to support Jewish Care’s work in the community.”

The morning was pronounced “very enjoyable” by audience member Rosalind Valens, who noted how nice it was that so many young women had come along.
