Pro Am Golf raises 40k for Jewish Care
Over £40,000 was raised at Jewish Care’s Pro Am Golf Tournament at Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire, in which 18 foursomes took part.
The event was organised by Jewish Care’s Pro Am Golf committee together with professionals from the East Region of the PGA.
Funds were boosted by an auction of sports memorabilia, including signed items from England’s 1996 world cup team and sporting stars Tiger Woods and Mohammed Ali. The winning team - Lee Vandermolen, Errol Rudnick and Jason Shelley, played with golf pro Luke Eggleston from Orsett Golf Club.
“Once again the Pro Am tournament has raised much-needed funds while providing great enjoyment for everyone who took part,” said committee chairman Jeremy Curtis.
