Raising money for Jewish Care doesn't have to mean running a marathon - though of course we'd love it if you did! Read on to find out more about our short runs and walks and how you can get involved.
Jewish Care needs nearly £46 million a year to run 70 services and resources across London and the south east. In 2008 we need to raise £16m from voluntary contributions to balance our budget.
Raising money for Jewish Care helps us maintain and improve the services we offer to the most vulnerable people in our community.
There are many ways you can raise money for Jewish Care:
- attend one of our fundraising events
- join in one of our parties, quizzes or socials
- raise sponsorship for a walk, run or other sporting event
- play golf or bridge with us
- host your own event - limited only by your imagination
- use a birthday or Barmitzvah party to collect donations
£250 pays for the running costs of a care bus
to bring isolated members to and from
our community centres.
Raising money is now quicker and easier than ever as we've teamed up with Justgiving, the award-winning online fundraising service.
On Justgiving you can:
- set up your own sponsorship page to collect donations online from friends and family all over the world
- raise Simcha donations in lieu of gifts for birthdays, anniversaries or other family occasions
- raise money in memory of a loved one.
