The ground floor houses a number of communal areas and a spacious dining room with access to an attractive secure garden, which is often used by residents and their visitors.

The dining room converts into a fully operational cinema that often shows residents' favourite films.

After recent refurbishment the home has a bright and airy reception area, where many of the residents enjoy sitting. Bedrooms are located on the four upper floors which are accessed via two lifts.

Rubens House has an active and dedicated ‘friends committee’ and a group of volunteers who work closely with the home to provide a variety of activities and cultural services.
